EUDR commodities & product scope

Begin with the goods.
Confirm the scope.

MarketPass can assess and operate EUDR workflows across relevant products connected to the seven EUDR commodity groups.

Seven commodity groups. Product-specific applicability.

The EUDR names cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood. The commodity group is the starting point; the actual covered product is determined by Annex I.

Cattle

Including relevant cattle-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Cocoa

Including relevant cocoa-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Coffee

Including relevant coffee-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Oil palm / palm oil

Including relevant palm-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Rubber

Our most developed specialist workflow. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Soya / soy

Including relevant soya-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Wood

Including relevant wood-derived products. Exact product coverage requires an Annex I check.

Containing a commodity does not automatically mean coverage

Not every product containing, made from or associated with one of these commodities is automatically covered. Exact applicability is confirmed against the current EUDR Annex I and the customer’s CN/HS code before engagement. We review the actual goods, relevant commodity content, tariff entry and applicable conditions or exclusions together.

A broad HS heading alone may not establish the precise EU product scope. An ex entry covers only the described subset. Classification uncertainty is recorded and referred for appropriate customs or legal interpretation where required.

Specialist depth, stated clearly

Our most developed specialist operating workflow currently covers natural rubber and tyres. Other commodity engagements are assessed according to product scope, supplier structure, traceability requirements and operational complexity before we accept the engagement.

What we qualify before taking on the work

  1. Product and importing entity. Identify the goods, classification, relevant commodity, legal entity and actual import/purchasing flow. Record scope questions and confirm the applicable role.
  2. Supplier structure and evidence access. Identify the parties holding underlying records, the upstream relationships and whether cooperation can support the proposed work.
  3. Traceability and production-origin requirements. Assess how the selected goods relate to relevant inputs, production locations and periods. The route and records depend on the commodity and product.
  4. Operating complexity. Review supplier count, shipment volume, entities, jurisdictions, mixed inputs, exceptions, existing systems and specialist dependencies.
  5. Delivery fit and agreed boundaries. Confirm which work MarketPass can operate, what remains with your team or specialists, and the workload limits before accepting the engagement.

The operating work, shaped around your flow

Within the agreed scope, MarketPass runs supplier outreach and follow-up, evidence collection and organisation, traceability reconciliation, geolocation evidence administration, missing-data remediation, evidence and exception registers, recurring shipment support and operational EUDR file maintenance.

These are operational capabilities, not a claim of equal sector maturity across every commodity. Where the evidence dependencies or required expertise do not fit our delivery model, we explain the limits before proposing an engagement.

Start with high-level importing context

The existing readiness qualification form is the first step. Your enquiry is saved before confirmation and optional booking. Do not send confidential supplier records or coordinates through the public form.

MarketPass manages the agreed operational workflow. The importer/operator retains the regulatory responsibilities assigned to it under the EUDR and its final decisions.
